For everybody.
Direct sunlight, salt water and chlorine can induce the same effects as chemical processing, weakening the hair, reducing gloss and elasticity. The only sensible products to use in the sun are oils or waxes, (preferably with sunscreens). Do not use any styling products as the alcohol will greatly accelerate dehydration. Oils & waxes are the only products that provide the necessary weather proofing and will also give you that tousled sexy beach look texture. If you want 100% protection wear a hat and keep it simple when it comes to styling. A pony tail or plait for longer hair types.
Before getting in the pool or sea, rinse your hair in fresh water (use bottled water if necessary) and then apply your oil based protection. Rinse immediately after your swim and reapply your treatment. Solarium Oils offers great protection and contains a strong UV filter.
For Blondes
Be careful if you plan to use lemon juice to lift highlights. To reduce acidity and prevent dehydration. mix the lemon juice together with a little d’or blonde. This will also even out the distribution to prevent patches appearing.
For Brunettes.
